Diver Course
So, what is it?
The Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding
a divers knowledge and experience beyond a recreational level. The nature
and context of the course is demanding and serious but at the same time,
fun and rewarding.
What does the course involve?
The course is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for
individuals to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, manage diving
accident situations and render proper first aid. You must be a minimum
of 15 years. The course runs for 3-4 days.
The program covers:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- Emergency management
- Equipment considerations
- Swimming and non swimming assists
- Panicked diver response
- Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In-water artificial respiration
- Egress (exits)
- Dive accident scenarios

- Training at beach and boat
What do I
need to supply?
- Evidence of Advance Open Water qualification
- Evidence that you have completed a sanctioned
course in CPR in the last 24 months
